Step-by-Step Umrah Rituals, Arabic-Bangla Duas, Ziyarah & Biometric Guide
Step 1: Ihram & Niyyah from Miqat (ইহরাম ও নিয়ত)
Before crossing the Miqat (or at Dhaka Airport before boarding a direct Jeddah flight), perform Ghusl/Wudu, wear the two unstitched white Ihram sheets (for men) or modest dress (for women), pray 2 Rakat Sunnah, and make Niyyah for Umrah followed by Talbiyah.
لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ عُمْرَةً
🗣️ Pronunciation: Labbayka Allahumma ‘Umratan
💡 Meaning: O Allah! Here I am to perform Umrah.
Step 2: Tawaf Around the Holy Kaaba (পবিত্র কাবা তাওয়াফ)
Enter Masjid al-Haram with your right foot. Start Tawaf from the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad) corner saying "Bismillahi Allahu Akbar", completing 7 anti-clockwise circuits around the Kaaba. Afterward, pray 2 Rakat behind Maqam-e-Ibrahim and drink Zamzam water.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ
🗣️ Pronunciation: Bismillahi Wallahu Akbar
💡 Meaning: In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest.
Step 3: Sa’i Between Safa and Marwa Hills (সাফা ও মারওয়া সাঈ)
Proceed to Mount Safa, face the Kaaba, recite the verse of Surah Baqarah (2:158), and walk toward Mount Marwa (1st lap). Walk back from Marwa to Safa (2nd lap) until 7 laps are completed at Marwa. Men walk briskly between the green fluorescent lights.
إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ
🗣️ Pronunciation: Innas-Safa wal-Marwata min Sha’a’irillah
💡 Meaning: Indeed, Safa and Marwa are among the symbols of Allah.
Step 4: Halq or Taqsir (মাথা মুণ্ডন বা চুল ছোট করা)
After completing the 7th lap of Sa’i at Marwa, men should shave their heads completely (Halq - most rewarding) or trim hair equally from all sides (Taqsir). Women only trim a fingertip length (approx. 1 inch) of their hair. Your Umrah is now complete!
Talbiyah — The Sacred Call of Pilgrims (তালবিয়াহ)
Masnoon DuaRecite Talbiyah frequently after wearing Ihram until you begin Tawaf. Men recite aloud; women recite softly.
لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ
Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayka la sharika laka labbayk. Innal-hamda wan-ni’mata laka wal-mulk, la sharika lak.
Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Verily all praise and blessings are Yours, and all sovereignty, You have no partner.
Dua Between Rukn al-Yamani & Hajar al-Aswad (রুকনে ইয়ামানি ও হাজরে আসওয়াদের মাঝের দোয়া)
Masnoon DuaSunnah supplication recited in every circuit of Tawaf between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina ‘adhaban-nar.
Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
Dua While Drinking Zamzam Water (জমজমের পানি পানের দোয়া)
Masnoon DuaFace the Qiblah, say Bismillah, drink in 3 breaths while standing, and make this supplication.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا وَاسِعًا، وَشِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ
Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman nafi’an, wa rizqan wasi’an, wa shifa’an min kulli da’in.
O Allah! I ask You for beneficial knowledge, abundant provision, and healing from every disease.
